Kumari Palace Lion Statue

Lion statue in front of the Kumari Palace, at the south end of Durbar Square, which is full of woodcarving of different God and Goddesses. It has is three levels and iis the home of the very famous living Goddess Kumari, a young girl between 4 and 16 years old. Both Hindus and Buddhists equally venerate her. For Hindus she is the reincarnation of Hindu Goddess Kali. She is equally worshiped by Buddhists because she is chosen from Buddhist family. This shows the harmony between Buddhist and Hindus in Nepal.
