Shwedagon Pagoda Monks

Monks at the Shwedagon Pagoda (Shwedagon Zedi Daw or Golden Pagoda) is believed by archeologists to have originally been built sometime between the 6th and 10th centuries by the Mon people of southern Burma. However, Buddhist monks claim to have records that state it was built before the death of Buddha in 486 BC.
